About the Author
Sara Gagnon is a Kelowna-based artist, illustrator, and art teacher with over 20 years of painting experience.
She began exploring illustration more deeply in 2020, discovering a love for digital art and storytelling.
Sara is passionate about creativity, personal growth, and mental health. She teaches art classes in the community and has spent years working with individuals in recovery homes, youth psychiatric care, and hospital settings—using art as a way to encourage healing, confidence, and self-expression.
Her work is rooted in the belief that everyone is deeply loved, valuable, and full of potential. Through her art and books, she hopes to help people connect with that truth and learn to live with joy, creativity, and self-compassion.
When she’s not painting or teaching, Sara loves staying active—especially through water polo, dance, and time spent with her large, creative family.
